A shocking incident of sexual assault involving a minor girl in Maharashtra’s Thane district has sparked widespread outrage, with political leaders and women’s rights activists demanding the strictest possible punishment for the accused. Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe stated that she would seek the death penalty for the accused, calling the crime “inhuman and unforgivable.”
