The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has officially announced the Maharashtra SSC Class 10 Results 2026, bringing relief and excitement to lakhs of students across the state. This year, the overall pass percentage stood at 92.09%, marking a slight decline compared to last year’s performance.

The results were declared on May 8 through an official press conference conducted by board authorities. Students can now access their marksheets online through the official result portals by entering their roll number and mother’s first name. The board also enabled alternative access through DigiLocker and SMS services to manage heavy website traffic during result hours.

According to official statistics released by the board, more than 15 lakh students registered for the SSC examinations held between February 20 and March 18, 2026, at thousands of examination centres across Maharashtra. The exams were conducted in two daily shifts under strict supervision and anti-malpractice measures.

Girls once again outperformed boys in the examination results, continuing a long-standing trend in Maharashtra board examinations. The Konkan division emerged as the top-performing region with the highest success rate, while some divisions recorded comparatively lower percentages. Education experts believe that stricter evaluation standards and revised moderation policies contributed to the slight dip in the overall pass percentage this year.

Several schools across Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, and Latur celebrated exceptional student performances. Many students secured scores above 95%, while reports indicated that over 4.22 lakh students achieved distinction marks in the examinations. The state also witnessed hundreds of schools registering a 100% result record this year.

The board has advised students dissatisfied with their marks to apply for verification, photocopies of answer sheets, or re-evaluation through the official online process. Applications for rechecking and supplementary examinations are expected to begin immediately after the declaration of results.

Education counselors have urged students not to become stressed over marks and instead focus on selecting the right stream and career direction for higher secondary education. Admissions for Science, Commerce, and Arts streams are likely to begin soon in junior colleges across Maharashtra.

Parents and teachers welcomed the timely declaration of results, saying it would help students smoothly transition into the next academic session without delays. The Maharashtra SSC examination remains one of India’s largest school-level public examinations, making the annual results highly significant for students and educational institutions statewide.

As celebrations continue in schools and homes across Maharashtra, the SSC Results 2026 mark another important academic milestone for lakhs of students preparing for the next phase of their educational journey.
