India is having different weather in different parts of the country right now. The north is still very cold because winter is not going away.. The coastal areas and the southern parts of India are seeing much warmer weather that is not changing much. The weather people think this will keep happening for a while. They say the north will stay cold, with fog and sometimes rain. At the time the coastal areas will have nice warm weather. India will keep seeing this difference in weather. The northern parts of India will be cold. The southern parts of India will be warm.

In North India places like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and some parts of Madhya Pradesh are feeling very cold. Every morning it is foggy in the Indo-Gangetic plains. This fog is making it hard to see. It is causing problems for people who are traveling by road, train and plane. At night it is still very cold in areas. The temperature is lower than it normally is, at this time of year. During the day it is not getting warmer because of the clouds and the cold wind that is coming from the north. North India is really feeling the winter chill. The cold is really bad in the country and in spaces. This is where we are seeing cold weather at different times. The chill factor is making things even worse, in these open areas.

The hilly areas of North India like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are really cold in the areas. It has been snowing lightly in mountain areas, which is good for people who like winter tourism but it is also making the roads slippery and there is a risk of avalanches in some areas. So the people, in charge are telling travellers to be careful. North India will probably stay cold for a while. Sometimes the weather will change and it will rain or snow a little bit because of western disturbances.

Western and Central India are having a mild winter. Places like Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Indore are getting mornings and then it gets comfortable in the afternoons. The nights are a little cool. During the day the temperature is mostly steady so the weather is nice, for doing things outside. Western and Central India are not going to have any weather problems in the next few days.

The weather in southern India is still really warm and humid. Places like Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi and Visakhapatnam are seeing temperatures that’re higher than what they usually are in the winter. Most days are sunny, in these cities. The coastal area is not feeling the weather that much but it can get uncomfortable in the afternoons because of the humidity. In some parts of South India like Tamil Nadu and Kerala it might rain a bit sometimes because of the wind coming from the east.. It is not going to rain a lot in these places.

The weather is really different from the north to the south at this time of year. This is normal. It happens because of the way the wind blows during seasons and because the land is different in different places.

People who live in the states need to be careful because it is cold. They should try to avoid getting sick from the cold.

People who live near the coast should drink a lot of water because it can get really warm during the day. Meteorologists are talking about the north to south weather contrast.
