A senior IMD official noted, “Because of these strong northerly winds, the city is seeing a fall in minimum temperatures. This pattern is likely to continue over the next week.”

Monday’s minimum at Santacruz was 0.4°C below normal, while Colaba recorded temperatures slightly above normal. After a period of warmer nights around 20–21°C following December 4, the city is now returning to cooler-than-normal conditions.
Between December 1 and 4, Santacruz had reported minimum temperatures ranging from 15.7°C to 18°C, marking the start of the current winter trend.
