Mumbai | June 26 2026: A woman who works as a receptionist at a gym in Mumbais Marol area got hurt when a car lost control on a sloping road and crashed into the gyms entrance on Thursday evening. This made people at the gym and those living nearby really scared.. It could have been a lot worse because only one person got hurt.
The police said the accident happened in the Marol area of Andheri East when the driver was going down a hill. It seems the car suddenly went faster while going down the hill and then crashed into the gyms glass entrance.
The crash broke the front of the gym damaging the glass, furniture and the reception area. People who were working out inside the gym ran to the reception area when they heard the crash. The staff helped the receptionist and called for emergency help right away.
The receptionist got hurt in the crash. Was taken to a hospital near the gym. The hospital said she was okay and getting treatment for her injuries, which were not very serious.
The police came to the scene soon after they heard about the accident. They used a crane to remove the damaged car and the traffic around the gym was affected for a little while.
The police are trying to figure out what made the car crash. They are checking the car to see if it had any problems and they are also trying to find out if the driver made a mistake or was going fast. The driver told the police what happened and now they are waiting to see what the inspection says before they decide what to do
There are cameras inside and outside the gym that recorded the thing. The police are looking at the footage to see what happened before the crash. People who were at the gym also told the police what they saw. They said the car just came into the gym without warning.
This accident is making people think about how safe it’s to have businesses on steep roads in Mumbai. Some experts say that these areas should have barriers and safer entrances to protect people.
People who live near the gym came outside after the crash while the emergency workers were trying to make the building safe. The gym stopped working for a while so they could fix the entrance.
The police are telling drivers to be very careful when they are driving on hills especially when the roads are slippery. They are also saying that car owners should make sure their cars are in condition to prevent accidents.
The police are still. They will decide what to do next based on what they find out. Even though one person got hurt it could have been much worse if there were more people, in the reception area when the car crashed.
