The court papers showed that a hacking group called “FulcrumSec” wanted USD 750,000 from the trust. If they did not get the money they would release the information. The trust told the court that the hackers had sent them some of the information to show that they really had it. This made the situation more serious.
Justice Arif Doctor heard the case. Gave an order to stop the hackers from releasing any more information. He also told the companies that run the internet and email to block the accounts that the hackers were using. The trust told the court that the stolen information was very sensitive and was about children. It included things like what the children did every day information about their families and their medical histories.
