Mumbai: Metro services on one of Mumbai’s busiest corridors witnessed a temporary disruption after a young man allegedly trespassed onto the metro tracks, prompting authorities to halt train operations for safety reasons. The incident occurred on Thursday and led to delays affecting thousands of commuters during peak travel hours.
According to officials, the individual entered the restricted track area near a metro station on the Dahisar–Versova route. Metro staff immediately noticed the unauthorized movement and alerted the operations control center. As a precautionary measure, train services were temporarily suspended while security personnel and station staff responded to the situation.
The incident resulted in a service delay of approximately 17 minutes, causing inconvenience to passengers traveling across the corridor. Announcements were made at stations informing commuters about the disruption, while metro authorities worked to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
