When Shoaib arrived at the spot, he found not just Danish but also Mobin Petiwala, an acquaintance from a previous business dealing.

As soon as Shoaib reached the location, the tone of the meeting reportedly changed. Mobin allegedly demanded the immediate return of Rs 1.5 lakh that he had given Shoaib several years ago as an advance for a machine.
Shoaib told the men that he was not in a position to pay the amount on the spot. According to police, this refusal triggered a violent response.
The two men allegedly began assaulting him on the spot. Before Shoaib could react or escape, he was handcuffed and forcibly pushed into a tempo parked nearby.
