Mumbai Police are still enforcing rules that stop people from gathering in groups and having processions all over the city. The authorities want to make sure everything stays calm and peaceful during the protests about the NEET-UG examination. These rules started on July 23. Will be in place until August 6. They apply to all areas that the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s in charge of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police made these rules because they are worried that big gatherings could cause trouble and disrupt life. They do not want anyone to get hurt. The rules say that people cannot gather in groups of five or more in places without permission. They also cannot have processions or use loudspeakers, musical bands or firecrackers during rallies. The police are doing this to prevent any problems and keep everyone safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protests are about the NEET-UG examination. Some people think it was not fair. Student groups and supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party are organizing these protests. They have been happening in places like Shivaji Park, Chembur, Powai, Mankhurd, Kalina and Ghatkopar. Many students, parents and activists are taking part in these protests even though there are rules against gatherings. The police have even filed some cases against people who broke these rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mumbai Police want people to know that these rules are in place to keep everyone safe. They are not trying to stop people from expressing their opinions. The police are asking people to follow the rules and not gather in groups without permission. They have also put police officers in sensitive areas to watch out for any trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are some exceptions to these rules. People can still get married, go to funerals and do their work. They can also go to court, school and other public places.. If someone wants to have a big rally or protest they need to get permission from the authorities first. If they do not they could get in trouble with the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some lawyers are not happy with these rules. They think people should be able to protest. Over 140 lawyers who work at the Bombay High Court have written a letter to the Mumbai Police asking them to reconsider these rules. They think the police should find a balance between keeping everyone safe and letting people express their opinions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these rules life in Mumbai is going on as usual. People can still use transportation and go to work. The police are asking people to listen to official announcements and not spread rumors on social media. They are also asking people to report any activity to the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city is still, on alert because of the protests. The authorities are watching the situation closely. Might change the rules if needed. The Mumbai Police and the authorities want to make sure everyone stays safe during this time. The NEET-UG examination controversy is still an issue and people are still protesting.
