It is getting really tough for people with average jobs in Mumbai to buy a home. A person who started a company said that it is almost impossible for people with jobs to buy a home in Mumbai because the prices of homes are going up fast and people are not getting paid more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This person compared the prices of homes in Mumbai and New York. They said that a normal home with two bedrooms in Mumbai costs around \u20b93 crore. This is like 15 times what a person with a job makes in a year. In New York a similar home costs around \u20b94.75 crore.. People in New York get paid a lot more so it is easier for them to buy a home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People are talking about this on media. Some people say that even though homes in New York are expensive people who live there get paid more and have ways to borrow money to buy homes. In Mumbai people often have to use money from their family or save for a time to buy a home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Experts who know about homes say that Mumbai is a case. There is not land a lot of people live there and it is hard to build new homes. This is why the prices of homes are going up. In some areas of Mumbai like South Mumbai homes can cost \u20b93 crore to \u20b910 crore or more. In areas that are not as fancy like Andheri or Borivali homes can cost \u20b91.5 crore to \u20b96 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not a problem in Mumbai. People in Bengaluru are also talking about how hard it&#8217;s to buy a home. Some people are saying that they have to wait or think about not buying a home all because it is too expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Economists say that we should not just look at the price of homes when we think about if they&#8217;re affordable. We should also think about how much people make and how much it costs to live in a home. Even though homes in Mumbai are cheaper than homes in New York people in Mumbai do not make much money so it is harder for them to buy a home. This is why some people think it is better to rent a home of buying one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a problem for cities, in India. They need to figure out how to make sure people have homes they can afford how to build homes and how to make the city a good place to live.
