Mumbai normally receives strong sea breeze patterns, but over the past couple of days, wind speed was lower and humidity was high, trapping pollutants closer to the surface. This kind of weather phenomenon is called temperature inversion, in which pollutants fail to disperse vertically and accumulate in the breathing zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The massive construction activity keeps sending dust into the air from redevelopment sites, metro lines, highways, and coastal projects.
