On the morning of 8th October 2025, Sanskruti Amin, a 22-year-old banker, was walking to work near her Jogeshwari East home when a cement block fell from an under-construction building onto her head.
The concerned building is being developed by Shraddha Lifestyle LLP, in which Sanghrajka is a partner.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Meghwadi police registered a First Information Report (FIR) under culpable homicide not amounting to murder-under section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and common intention-section 3(5)-naming Sanghrajka and others associated with the construction firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the accident, police arrested site engineer Shambhu Kumar Paswan and site manager Gaurav Sondagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bail Plea & Court Findings<\/strong>
<\/strong>He applied for an anticipatory bail, but on October 29, his plea was rejected by a sessions court. The court seriously observed that temporary pedestrian protection ‘arcade’, which is mandatory under high-rise construction safety norms, was not installed around the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court also suggested that custodial interrogation may be necessary since the investigation was still in its preliminary stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
